Robin on cleft fencing March 2015 LF

Our woodland volunteers have been busy today and very proud of the length of natural cleft fencing they have installed on the Carriage Drive.  Woodsman Ed has been upskilling the volunteers using larch that has been felled in Penllergare Valley Woods.  This friendly robin seems to approve.

If you’d like to learn more about conservation, woodland and/or heritage management, the Woodland Volunteer role is perfect for you.
Activities are focussed on restoring the heritage features of Penllergare Valley Woods in accordance with a project partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, as well as improving and maintaining the general ‘look and feel’ of the estate – making it an essential green space for the people of Swansea.

We have a variety of volunteer roles available at Penllergare.  Email or visit our Volunteer Page for more details.
