C25K Running Group – Sundays 10am
The Penllergare Valley Woods Running Group meets at Penllergare every Sunday at 10am with two groups for either new runners starting out on the C25k programme (Couch to 5k in 9 weeks!) or an advanced group for runners doing 5-10k.
The latest batch of C25k runners started the programme on 6th January, with around 70 new runners coming to the event (!) and they are now on week 3. New runners are welcome to join at any time if they feel they are at the right level. You can contact the group via their Facebook page by clicking here.
We will announce when the next C25k programme will start as soon as we have the date. This is designed to get the lazy off the sofa and into the woods, so is suitable for a complete beginner – even if you just turn-up and walk around, you’re being more active than sitting on the couch!
This is a very friendly group for all levels of runners, and the support of the organisers and other runners is amazing. Some of the group stay for coffee and a well-earned slice of cake in our Coffee Shop afterwards so it’s also a great way to socialise.
