Penllergare is the ideal location for a group ramble, educational visit or just a day out to enjoy the scenery. With advance booking (4 weeks plus), we can usually provide a guided tour for a small fee, so that your group can learn about the history, ecology and wildlife of Penllergare, and our plans for the future.
Penllergare Valley Woods is run by a local charity, so we humbly request that groups make a donation to us when they visit, to help us to continue our work in the Valley Woods. Donations can be made at the Coffee Shop or online.
If you are planning on visiting us as a group, please contact us on 01792 344 224 or [email protected] at least a week in advance. As our Coffee Shop has limited capacity, please let us know if you will need refreshments or if anyone has any special dietary requirements.
We do not currently have an education programme available, but you are welcome to visit and provide your own activities, or one of our guided tours may be suitable for older children.
Please be aware that there can be dangerous woodland management works in the woods, so booking ahead will enable us to guide you away from any potential hazards.
Penllergare Valley Woods is run by a local charity, so we humbly request that school groups make a donation to us when they visit. We would suggest a donation of around £3 per head to help us to cover our costs, and continue our work in the woods. Donations can be made at the Coffee Shop or online.
Please note: We do not have parking facilities for coaches so if you are planning to travel by coach, please let us know so that we can make suitable arrangements.
As a small, local charity, we rely on our fantastic team of volunteers to keep Penllergare Valley Woods a thriving, accessible and beautiful place to visit.
If your group would like to offer some time to volunteer with us as a one-off or regular activity, please let us know. We have a wide range of environmental projects and team-building tasks in which you can be involved. Your time and effort will be much appreciated.
We look forward to seeing you!
