Without the amazing efforts of our over 100 volunteers, the Penllergare Trust would not be able to open, maintain, restore and conserve the Penllergare Valley Woods for the public
From the welcoming smile and excellent service in our Coffee Shop to the planting of apple trees in the new Heritage Orchard, volunteers are at the heart of everything the Trust does
In 2016 our volunteers and their outstanding service was recognised by The Queens Award for Voluntary Service (equivalent to an MBE)
In 2023 the Trust and our volunteers achieved Investing in Volunteers status, which is a national recognition for the contribution of our volunteers and the support given to them by the Trust.

One of our partners, The Eagles Nest Men’s Shed is based in Penllergare Valley Woods and provides social and volunteering opportunities for local men.
