This half-term why not join us for a day of family fun and children’s activities at Penllergare Valley Woods
Have you ever wanted to go on a bug hunt or even make a home for the little minibeasts? How about making your own dreamcatcher or knowing what that bird is you have you seen flying about the Woods? Perhaps you want to carve a spooky pumpkin or spot a bat. Well all of that is possible on our Woodland Rangers Activity Day this half-term.
On Tuesday 26th October, the Penllergare Trust will be hosting the Woodland Rangers Activity Day, where you can book a place for your child on these experiences. All children will need to be accompanied by a parent/carer and you can choose to book up to two out of the five of the activities.
The Bug Hunt & Bug Hotels, Woodland Crafts, Bird Identification & Making Bird Feeders and Pumpkin Carving will all take place in our Forest School area near the A48 entrance (by Lezzets Café). For the Bat Walk we will be joined by our colleagues from the Glamorgan Bat Group, and everyone who is booked on will meet in the main car park. For all five of the activities all of the places must be booked in advance.
We will also be holding a Big Litter Pick at 12.30pm in the main car park, where everyone can join us for a walk around the Woods to help tidy up the place that we all love. There is no need to book on for this activity.
Please click the links to book your places and to find out more details. Please remember only book up to two activities per child. Booking more activities may put all of your places at risk.
