Join the Swansea Astronomical Society for a Solar Observing session on the grounds immediately outside the observatory. Discover our nearest star up close through specialised equipment, ask questions, and visit our society information desk.

What to Expect

Safe Telescope Viewing: Specialised, custom-filtered equipment will be provided to view the Sun safely under full supervision.
Society Information Desk: Learn more about the Swansea Astronomical Society, upcoming events, and getting started in astronomy.
Large Capacity: Multiple telescopes will be set up throughout this Solar Observing event to accommodate as many visitors as possible (brief delays may occur during peak hours).
