Renowned land artist Jon Foreman transforms the Woods with the help of the community and the Rural Anchor Fund

Over the last three days Jon Foreman with the help of the local community and children from Pen Y Bryn School and Penllergaer Primary School as transformed the much loved Octopus Oak in Middle Park into a stunning piece of land art. This exciting project was made possible by funding from the Rural Anchor Fund which is supported by the UK Government.

Passers by have been amazed by the art work which incorporates natural materials gathered from the woods by volunteers and local school children. The temporary art work has shown what is possible in terms of art responding to the inherent beauty of nature.

The much loved old oak tree has been encircled by twigs and branches which surround and embrace the tree.
