Princess Rhiannon and the Water Nymphs

Princess Rhiannon and the Water Nymphs is Barry based Emily Halford’s debut children’s story and tells the tale of a little girl’s magical journey in pursuit of finding her true happiness within the beautiful woods near to her home.

On her journey, she discovers the natural power of the landscape as magical and mystical creatures appear before her, inviting her to share their magic.

One particular enchanting creature shows Rhiannon that beauty is something that is within herself and how special and magical the real world is.

Emily’s story is inspired by the natural beauty of Penllergare Valley Woods and visitors might just spot Princess Rhiannon in the woods, by the waterfall or sitting under the ‘Elephant Tree’.

All children will enjoy a story telling session with Princess Rhiannon and have a signed copy of the book to take home with them. They will also have a special colouring sheet to take home.

Children will also be able to write a message to the Elephant Tree Man and leave it in a basket beneath the tree. The relevance of this will be explained as Emily reads the story.

Each child will have the opportunity to be photographed (by their parents/family) with Emily. We will ensure permission is granted for any photos or videos we take, as is normal practice.
