Sunday Conservation Sessions

Come along and get stuck into some practical conservation work at Penllergare Valley Woods!

Whether you’re an experienced conservation volunteer or completely new to it, our Sunday sessions are a great way to spend a morning outdoors, learn something new and help care for the woods. These sessions are for age 18+ only. 

Depending on what’s needed, activities may include:

• 🌳 Planting
• 🪵 Coppicing
• 🌿 Species control
• 💧 Grassland & pond management

• 🔰 No experience needed
• 🛠️ All tools provided
• ☕ Free hot drink included!

We’ll finish the session with a drink and a chat — the perfect chance to meet fellow volunteers and find out more about what’s happening across the woods.

What to bring

Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear. Conservation work takes place outdoors, so come prepared for the weather.
