UV Nature Walk

Friday, 30th October 2026 | 6:30 PM – 8 PM
£3 per person 

Step into the woods after dark for a thrilling Penllerscare night walk! Armed with UV torches, we will search the shadows for hidden creatures and fungi that naturally fluoresce and glow in the dark. As part of this hands-on citizen science event, you will help us record nocturnal species to support local wildlife conservation.

What to bring: Warm outdoor clothing, waterproofs, sturdy footwear, and a standard torch.

Suitable for: Children must be accompanied by an adult, who should also book a ticket so that we have a record of numbers. Age 6+. You know your little ones best—please make sure they’re comfortable being out in the woods after dark!
Location: Please meet outside the Visitor Centre prior to the start time. Parking is available at the main visitor car park (SA4 9GS).

Weather: This event is weather-dependent. We will reschedule in the event of poor conditions.
