Discover Penllergare
The Visitor Centre is a way for us to share all we know about Penllergare with you, our wonderful visitors. The vibrant, brightly-coloured display along the walls allows you to meet the wildlife that calls Penllergare home, discover Penllergare’s rich history, and to travel back in time through pictures of Penllergare’s past. Along the way, you can read about the amazing people who have lived here, and learn about their ground-breaking achievements in astronomy, botany, and photography. At the Visitor Centre, you can also buy books and much more.
Entry to the Visitor Centre is completely free, but as the woods are managed by a charity we do encourage visitors to make a donation, which can either be done online or at the donation station in the centre itself. Dogs are welcome in certain areas of the Visitor Centre but must be kept on-leads; please be aware of the signage that marks the dog-free zones.
Also situated in the heart of the Visitor Centre is our wonderful Coffee Shop – Y Coed. After you’ve explored all the centre has to offer, you can sit down for a bite to eat and a hot drink with an amazing view over our Woodland Garden. To see our food and drink menu, click here. Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that all items listed on the menu will be available on the day.
