The Dog Blog
Penllergare Valley Woods is a really popular place to walk, to get away from our troubles and to get close to nature. In fact, we’re seeing over 100,000 visits per year to the Woods. Dog walkers have always loved Penllergare and we know that about 40% of British households have a pet dog, so we can be pretty sure that we have at least 40,000 dog visits every year!

World Wetlands Day – February 2nd 2022
Wetlands are a critically important component of the world’s ecosystems and, like most other ecosystems, have been in decline. The UN named February 2nd as World Wetlands Day back in 1997 to raise awareness of wetlands and their vital role in provision of freshwater, in biodiversity conservation and in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
